The Ngala Safari Lodge,Ngala mean ‘lion’ in Shangaan, was the first private safari reserve to be incorporated in the world-famous Kruger National Park – the largest wildlife sanctuary in South Africa.
With exclusive traversing rights over 14 700 hectares (36 323 acres) of Kruger’s game-rich wilderness, Ngala offers an extraordinary African wildlife safari experience.

Ngala Game Lodge is situated on 14 800 hectares/36 500 acres of exclusive game-rich Kruger National Park land, Northern Province, South Africa. The Lodge’s spectacular setting is near the Kruger’s Timbavati gate.
Scheduled flights from Johannesburg and Cape Town International Airports to Eastgate Airport. The transfer from Eastgate Airport is by road and takes one hour.
Ngala is accessible for guests by two-wheel drive vehicle. Driving time from Johannesburg is 5 hours on excellent roads.

Twice daily game-drives in open game viewing vehicles and nature walks on the reserve are included in the rate.

Children are welcome. Regretfully children 5 and younger cannot participate in the regular game-drives and children under the age of 12 cannot participate in bush walks. Child minders can be booked at an additional cost.
Children aged 6 to 11 years are accommodated on game-drives at the lodge Manager’s discretion. An extra bed can be arranged for a child 11 and younger sharing its parent’s room
