November 2019:South Africa tour and Safari.

Hi Stephen,

The trip was amazing just as expected! Everything very seamlessly and we loved all the accommodations with Makanyi toping the charts!

In Cape Town the township tour was truly amazing. The guide, Nelson was amazing and told such passionate stories while driving us into the areas and talking about the history.

Even before getting the tour. I STRONGLY recommend requesting him with the same company if you send anyone else. At one point he had tears in his eyes telling us about the history. It truly felt like we could feel his emotions. IT was great and he was so respectful.

We likes Martin a lot. He was always on time and told us about everything as we went along.

We met Gillian for the second half of the trip for the wine lands and really fell in love with her. Again, she was so knowledgeable and talked very deeply about herself also so we really connected. We felt very lucky to have her and even exchanged information to stay in touch.

Then we went off to the safari. I think we could have done with just the first day drive on Panarama trail. It was beautiful but the second day was a bit much for us. I think that is just based on preferences though, I can see why people can spend so much time on the trail.

Makanyi was unbelievable from accommodation to experiences. We saw all the big five multiple times and even saw hyenas taking a lions pray. We watched it all go down real time. Very special and I guess doesn’t happen all the time!

The guide, Alfred, was truly special and so talented. He also told us a lot about himself and his lifes work to save the Rhinos. Any guide there made you feel like you could really understand what the animals were thinking. It was very special.

The views, the exclusiveness and the FOOD was all amazing. The safe also gets close and knows everyone by name since it is so small. Again, really really special.

Thanks so much for helping us plan. It was great although, per the normal, felt like we could have spent weeks there!

Thanks again, it was truly a trip we will never forget.

Tina
